Atlus has announced that their upcoming JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio is rated T for Teen by the ESRB and 16 by PEGI. This news was stated in an official email by Atlus telling newsletter subscribers to wishlist the title. This rating is a bit of a surprise, seeing as the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series’ tend to be rated M for Mature, and Metaphor is at least somewhat following in those games’ footsteps.
The rating tag has “Violence, Blood, Mild Suggestive Themes, Language, and Use of Alcohol” as the justifications.
