RED is definitely gonna be compared to GoT. It would be interesting if both RED and GoT 2 came out the same year.

They both take place in Japan, but that seems to be the only thing similar. Ghost is an amazing title, but AC in Japan is more inevitable imho then Ghost Of Tsushima was lol
RED also takes place during the Edo period and the character is a Shinobi, like a ninja (but you likely can play a Samurai....maybe lol).

lol its actually hard to say. We got a AC mobile before, we are getting one now, we got a AC linear title before, we are getting one again, we are getting 2 AC RPG open world titles, by both teams that did the last ones...that is what I originally thought too, as in we are not getting MORE AC, we are simply getting the exact amount we got last gen...

It would be like if they announced AC Unity, Origins, Odyssey, AC Chronicles at the same time or something lol Keep in mind, last gen they stopped doing a yearly release, as in we got less AC's, not more. So I think it appears to be MORE, but it merely sounds like the teams we know work on AC, will continue to work on AC.......thats it.
It would be like if Capcom had a Capcom day or something and was like "We funa remake Code Veronica, Resident Evil 9 is coming, but wait there's more, Resident Evil Revelations 3, Resident Evil ONLINE" Is that really more RE? Isn't it the same teams that gave us a remake, new RE, Online etc? So I feel maybe this is merely getting announced now for stock reasons which makes sense, they have lots of projects to fund, but I don't see enough to say its getting milked like any other gen.
This sounds about like what we got from those teams before lol
