Neil Druckmann Teases 'The Last of Us Part II Remastered: Lost Levels' Element in Season 2 of HBO's Adaptation

The Last of Us creator Neil Druckmann revealed that at least 'one element' from The Last of Us Part II Remastered: Lost Levels is planned for Season 2 of HBO's 'The Last of Us'.

The Last of Us creator Neil Druckmann revealed that at least ‘one element‘ from The Last of Us Part II Remastered: Lost Levels is planned for Season 2 of HBO’s ‘The Last of Us‘.

The filming for season 2 is now scheduled to start on February 20, 2024, in Vancouver, BC, Canada, with filming expected to wrap on September 9, 2024. Druckmann on Season 2, “My focus on The Last of Us’ next season has remained the same — Craig and I want to create a great season of television that stays true to the themes and intent of the original Part II story while adapting the story as best we can for a different medium.”

Druckmann said, “As a tease, I will say there is at least one element from a cut level that is planned [for] the show.” Druckmann added, “I say that with the caveat that we haven’t started filming the show yet and all things are subject to change based on what we ultimately feel will be best for the show.”

Ignoring PC ports, out of all of those, Naughty Dog also released The Last of Us Part 1 (which is a remake), and remasters for Uncharted and Last of Us Part 2 (this one in 2024). During the same time period, only Sucker Punch released something, with GoT Director's cut.

I think people need to stop hating on these guys already. I also want a new game from them, and I'm pretty upset that Last of Us Online is in development hell, but damn. 3 years without a new game from a AAA studios is nothing.
