NetEase to consider emulator compatibility on PC for Destiny Rising leaving PS gamers dry & less exclusive to the PS hardware/storefront

It will be funny if this somehow got a PC port likely Steam skipping PS when Sony owns the ip. Lmao PS doing nothing but bolstering & making the Steam platform, hardware & storefront the way to game & almost defacto in gaming.

You would think Destiny rising a mobile game would be focus towards mobile gamer hell I’d argue a PS port would make more sense to get some sort of value from the 4 billion dollar acquisition. Sony/PS could get there own Destiny console exclusive game instead it will likely be Steam console exclusive if not available on Steam & Steamdeck platforms.

Gabe has to be laughing at how short vision both Xbox & PS are aswell as making some bad decisions for there long term success in the hardware/storefront market where in the end game exclusivity will be the only thing the distinguish the PS storefront to the Steam storefront or Xbox storefront. Ultimately it comes back to exclusivity & games that can’t be played no where else, in this case on no other storefront/subscription/hardware

Steamdeck 2 & Switch 2 will massively chip into the PS market as those platform cons becomes less & less recognizable

Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill for the sake of making a thread and shitting on Sony.

Nowhere does it say a PC port WILL happen or a Playstation will NOT.

Secondly, maybe if you did your homework. This license agreement between Netease and Bungie was done BEFORE Sony acquired Bungie.

It has nothing to do with Sony and neither can they do anything.

I see no reason for it to come to ps5. This deal was made over 4yrs ago before Ps even bought Bungie. Netease has no obligation to release on ps hardware.

No place the tweet talks about PC port.

It talks about the Android game being emulated on PC.
It will be emulated since day one no matter what Netease says.
They are talking about add features to the game to make these using emulators on PC to have a better life.

The article is not even about PC port at all.
It is about Android emulation on PC.

Netease won't do any port at all.

We need to get better at the thread titles here.

Exactly but the OP thought this was a good way to create a thread and shit on Sony.

Even if a PC port is possible it has nothing to do with Sony cause this license agreement was signed before Sony acquired Bungie.

Doesn’t matter if the license agreement was done under an independent Bungie.

The original agreement was a Destiny mobile game so NetEase considering a PC port would be something new after the initial agreement & plans.

This very much has everything to do w Sony 😂 Sony owns Bungie & the Destiny ip. Sony can very much say oh we want a PS port after seeing the positive reaction instead it looks like there will be a PC port & not a PS port. Seeing a PS ip skip PS consoles again will be funny it’s yet another Lego Horizon skipping PS4 yet on Switch 1.

Saying Sony who owns Bungie & the destiny ip can’t do anything like dictate where there gaming ip is releasing especially considering the Destiny rising game is solely made to be a mobile & now NetEase seeing people ask for a PC port is now considering making a PC port. It’s all funny

It’s ok to criticize Sony/PS dumb & short sighted decisions

So NetEase can now consider a PC port? Even after the initial deal only being sign for a mobile game? Lmao

What’s next a PS ip/game solely being made for the Nintendo/mobile gamer & it entirely skipping PS consoles? LMAO

They are not considering a PC port lol

They are talking about to considering add things to make easy to people use the MOBILE game via emulation on PC.

You know using one of these Android emulators on PC… Nox, Bluestarks, etc.

And when I say easy means for example to make the game UI easy yo use via emulator on PC.

They won’t release a PC port.

I love how he always keeps talking about the Steam Deck.

A niche product that has yet to sell past 5 million units but somehow it poses a huge threat to Playstation.
Wasn’t Valve/Steam at one point a niche platform/storefront? Now years later there a bigger platform & storefront that has 5x the exclusive games to its platform then PS does.

Valve/Steam is a huge threat to PS just look how irrelevant Steam made the windows store in the PC market. Even now Steam has PS games w day n date multiplayer & singleplayer games. Saying Valve/Steam or even Steamdeck isn’t a threat to PS is serious & short sighted cope

While the developer didn’t outright confirm a dedicated PC client, the response hinted that the game getting PC support is definitely a possibility, depending heavily on player feedback and demand.

When asked if players can expect a PC client for the game, the official support account “Destiny: Rising Helper” replied: “Optimization for various mobile devices is still ongoing. We recommend that you prioritize using devices that meet the required specifications for testing. In future stages, we will suggest to the developers to enhance support for [PC] emulators based on player feedback.”

Well looks like there will be support on a PC version of Destiny mobile in the future considering there openness of a PC version w the feedback. Yet again another PS game skipping PS & will be able to be played on PC. Why no mention of a PS version? Does Sony/PS not care about Destiny players on PS? Isn’t the PS console (PS4 & PS5) the platform that holds most of Destiny player base? With PC being second? Guess will wait but giving NetEase support in allowing a PC version of Diablo immortal I wouldn’t put it past me being right years later w people like you continuing to downplay more PS games skipping PS even thoe at the same time cheer up Hoyoverse & there mobile games releasing day 1 simultaneously w mobile.

Steam is a big platform but the Steam Deck sure as hell isn't.

This part's false. SIE can stipulate changes in the contract if they're willing to negotiate, as they now own the IP. Microsoft did this with Disney when it came to Indiana Jones, for example, after buying Zenimax (only to now retract since Xbox consoles are pretty much either dead or dying across most of the world in sales).
