Never understood why devs don't just put NG+ in the game from the get-go. I'm not a programmer so maybe I don't understand it completely, but surely it can't be something that's so difficult it takes months of work post-release to implement.

Marketing purposes, it gets your game back in the news after it has launched or well after it launched.

Yup all money and politics. It's like Netflix now not front loading all their episodes and instead parceling them out over a time period, they want to keep bringing ppl back.
