New PS5 owner here

I know I am the Xbox Community Cat.

But I just scored a ps5 Horizon bundle. I have not had a PS since the pS3 days. Is the sub service the best way to go to play older games from this/last gen?

It's probably the most economical and fastest way to get access to lot of them...

Like Spider-man, Miles Morales, Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, Demons Souls, Returnal etc....... they're all on there at the extra level.
No need to go to Premium until you have extra worked through IMO.

Then you can fill things in from there, many games from PS4 gen are really cheap now.

There are some other things like 3rd party exclusives like.... Guilty Gear, FFXIV and others that may not be in the service but many of them are for niche or specific audiences and you kinda just have to seek them out.

It’s only hard at the beginning really since you start out weak and lacking experience.

I’ve always been good at bullet hells so I loved it. Kept getting better too.

Nowhere near as tough for me as FromSoft games, for example.

Try it again sometime and once it clicks you’ll probably love it.

Yeah o think FS games to be easy honestly and bullet hell game were always very hard to me. Returnal has really cool gameplay but I don’t think it’s for me. I might try it again later though.

Yea if you've been out of the Playstation game now is really the best time to get in. PS + COLLECTION, PS EXTRA/PREMIUM games are fire. Returnal, Miles morales, should be your first picks. Ghosts is also excellent. So many must play games.
