Well that neatly steps around the "Zelda just released" issue for their E3 replacement. Going to be a tough year for them since I imagine they are going to hold back Switch 2 and its announcements until January. Pokemon DLC and maybe one other thing (Mario? maybe 2D?)

This is exactly what I always hoped Sony would do. PlayStation Experience was on the right track, you want more fan engagement and excitement.

Nintendo is big enougth to have their own E3/convention and so is Sony.

PSX 2016 was fun.

Shawn Layden looks really good in retrospect compared to Jim Ryan.

He set up the Imnsoniac deal, was against subscriptions and understood the real appeal of the PlayStation brand.

Jim Ryan seems like he is oriented mostly by a short term vision and an uninspiring vision of the console market.

Say what you will, but Fortnite, Cod and GaaS is not what made PlayStation what it is.

Nintendo clearly gets it.
