This year's show had 12 awards and the winners were chosen by industry professionals from around the world. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Baldur's Gate 3 led the way going into the show with seven nominations each, and Baldur's Gate 3 won the night with four wins.

Alongside Game of the Year, Baldur's Gate 3 took home Best Narrative, Best Design, and the Audience Award. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, on the other hand, won both the Innovation Award and Best Technology.

The nominees for the 24th Game Developers Choice Awards 2024 (GDCA) have been revealed, and they represent a wide range of outstanding titles from the previous year. "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" and "Baldur's Gate 3" lead the field with seven nominations apiece, closely followed by "Cocoon," which is up for five prizes.

These exceptional games are competing for the esteemed Game of the Year prize, and "Dave the Diver," "Dredge," and "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" are among the top contenders. There are sixteen games from the previous year competing in nine different award categories. Below is a thorough list of all the nominees.

The GDCA ceremony, a peer-based awards ceremony presented in conjunction with the Independent Games Festival Awards during GDC 24 in San Francisco's Moscone Convention Centre, will announce the winners on March 20.

Gamers who care deeply about games may also take part in the voting process by selecting their favourite game of the year from a ballot that includes all 16 contenders from this year's exceptional selection.

Eh, another awards show I don't care about.

Too many of these things and in most cases the audience and customer gets very little representation.
