Overwatch 2 will stop locking new heroes behind a battle pass with season 10

Venture will be free for all Overwatch 2 players — and so will the rest of the roster

The next season of Overwatch 2 will introduced a new hero, Venture, and a new way to unlock them. Instead of having to pay for the game’s premium battle pass or unlock that new hero through dozens of hours of gameplay, Blizzard will make Venture and all future heroes available to free for all players when they launch.

I played it on release for like ten minutes but it didn't draw me in so I honestly don't know how it's progression and bp was set up. Good to know, thnks.

No one is defending this and this is to make sure new people join. Still doesn't fix the issue that an entire class is useless. Or that a season pass offers skins for 5 characters a select few might play. Still no new Lucio skin to this day and still no point playing cause he is gimped.

When I saw this I assumed they were just going to change them to being unlocked via micro transactions lol
