Strategy games are very niche, regardless of being tied to a popular property, and most in the games media sphere don't like games that take any kind of real effort or thought to succeed in.

They had 2 spinoffs for the Persona franchise called Persona Q and Persona Q2 for the 3ds handheld, which actually scored higher in the low 80's. So this isn't anything new but it's more for a quick cash grab game that would sell with name brand alone.

Yeah, that's not good. PlayStation need to wake the fuck up and rebuild / strengthen their relationships with Japanese developers.

This game was a colossal flop! Wasn't even in top 20 most played on PS4/PS5 charts, didn't charge in the Xbox top 50 despite being day 1 GamePass, and only had a peak of 3.4k on Steam.

And it's already discounted to $40 at every retailer in the US. This game should be $20 by early 2024 and that's when I'll pick it up . Sega seriously needs to rethink their Xbox partnership or have their games continue to flop. Sony has all the leverage and still lost exclusivity to great IP.

I'm waiting until the complete edition - the Royal/Golden version. On top of the game being full-priced where I am, the day one DLC is half that price. In the past I've bought release versions of their games and then the complete edition later (discounted), but have no intention of doing that this time. If they don't ultimately end up doing that with this game, I'll wait for a deep discount instead.

I wish Sega never bought Atlus, they are slowly ruining them
