They said that it was due a new Brazilian’s tax law where some product that didn’t have to pay tax or have a lower % now have to pay or a increase in the %.
But that happened in March I believe.
And why Sony or others videogames companies didn’t have to rise the prices due tax?
And another question is that new law didn’t change anything for videogame products I believe.

The price cuts are at two retailers, not across the board, which usually means that the manufacturer didn’t authorize it but the retailers are trying to unload dead stock and don’t give a shit.
That is trouble for Microsoft, as Amazon and Best Buy are sending a message that the product isn’t moving and they don’t want to be saddled with it any longer and have lost faith that it will sell at full price.
