Why isn’t #GTA6 coming to PC yet? According to our data, 44% of GTA V owners have the game on multiple platforms. The “double dip” is very real.​


PlayerTracker data also shows that gamers brag about having multiple platforms and are more than willingly to buy the game twice.​


Since we first wrote about this in 2019, the gaming market has changed and there was discussion that the "double dip" revenue wouldn't be worth the loss in ongoing microtransaction revenue from PC.Now we know what Rockstar and Take Two think.

I would even accept this as an answer if Rockstar games were solid technically on all platforms. People who double dipped on GTAV got screwed twice.

Why is a 30k sample a problem? They don't need nearly as much as that to get a statistically relevant number.

For example... elections statistics are made with 2-4k samples.
The methodology is more important than the size of the sample to be accurate.

PlayTracker also said Starfield sold 2m copies day 1….so their data isn’t reliable in the slightest.

This is common sense that doesn’t require any bs data. No cross play + no pc at launch = many double dips.

Full data is a must, this estimation always have error by 200-300%

Heard mumblings that gta6 on ps5 and series x are locked at 30 fps ( still rumours)

I know those talks are from random anyonymous users on internet but looking at this it makes sense for rockstar to delay the pc version

By the time gta6 came up on pc in 2026 rtx 5090 will arrived

I imagine some people / enthusiast who already buy the game on console could be willing to buy the game again on pc to experience max setting/ higher fidelity mode or something like that
