Larian’s sweeping Dungeons & Dragons role-playing adventure Baldur’s Gate 3 has a new two-hour trial, exclusive to PS Plus Premium subscribers on PlayStation 5. “With crunchy, tactical RPG combat, a memorable story with complex characters, highly polished cinematic presentation, and a world that always rewards exploration and creativity, Baldur's Gate 3 is the new high-water mark for CRPGs,” we said in IGN’s Baldur’s Gate 3 review, which returned a 10/10.

I'm happy about this been on the fence with BG3 due to it being turn based but now I can try and see if I like. For the record I've played a few turn based I really enjoyed it's just maby others I did not.

I've been holding out for a physical release but like you said, I can try it and either dismiss it completely or continue to wait. Turn based games are not for everybody, and only the very best examples of the genre can translate to a wide audience. BG3 seems to be that title so we'll see. PC gamers hype RPGs to the moon... and unfortunately in the last few years the buzz coming out of PC oriented studio games is sucking up the room among hardcore gaming circles. Unfortunately this is partly a side-effect of the lack of E3 and Sony's active marketing, into the passive, cost-saving, Nintendo-style State of Play, which coincides with Sony's push to PC with the PS5 transition. The PS4 media-gamer mindshare high for Sony AAA blockbusters, culminating with TLOU II has subsided, greatly.

Yeah I've enjoyed a few Cosmic Fantasy games tht were turn as well as NiNoKuni which was sort of a hybrid. Based on word of mouth I think this will grab me now I can at least try and see!

Gollum is like durian. I hear it stinks to high heaven, and am somewhat curious, but not curious enough to find out for myself how horrible the stench is.
