Ubisoft has sent an email telling players that in order to curb issues caused by Early Access, they will have to delete their save files:

Hello To best experience the Outer Rim, we rolled out a maintenance to make sure everyone is playing the latest version of the game. As one of the players affected who had access to an older version of the game, we are aware you might be encountering some issues after this recent patch. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
To solve the issue, please make sure you are playing Version 1.000.002. Here's how to check your version:
1. From the game tile, select "Options".
2. Go to "Information".
3. On the Version line, locate the version number.
Once you've confirmed you have the latest version, please start a new save to fully enjoy Star Wars Outlaws as our team intended. If you continue on a prior save you will unfortunately face issues and progression blockers.

This is why those PlayStation 5 fans should be playing Outlaws on Xbox or PC via Ubisoft+. $18 is a lot easier to accept than $100/$130.

Touché lol

In all honesty, you're 100% right but that rarely if ever happens nowadays because every company has shareholders and investors who want their money. It's why you see the vast majority of Indie games rarely having any issues in this regard because the development team releases the game when they feel it's ready. And while im sure they're not perfect, there's a far greater chance at their games being ready for release than a game being released by a publicly traded company. Sadly, it is what it is.
