Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown showing pretty high for the type of game it is and the audience that PushSquare would be.
This is a big change compared to how poorly received the game was from gamers of all types at the initial showing.
I too thought the first trailer was not the greatest, but every journalist who played the demo had great things to say about the game, so I was intrigued to know more.

But yeah, the game has looked stellar every showing since the initial one.

HellDivers 2 is pretty low, getting beat by this new Alone in The Dark remake is a bit of a yikes. Granted this is very low sample size and a fairly enthusiast crowd that would know of the OG in some ways, but still

it's all personal preference...a lot of the "big games" of 2023 I didn't care for, only BG3, Alan Wake 2, Spider-Man 2, and FF16 were standouts, everything else was just decent. But I haven't played much of TOTK yet, need to make time for it, so that might be another one. There were are a lot of objectively great games that don't really do anything for me like Diablo 4, Armored Core 6, Lies of P, Super Mario Wonder, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat, Dead Space remake, etc.

2024 games may or may not be good, but if they are, there'll be many more titles that cater to me than in 2023.

Yakuza 8 - Yakuza Gaiden was my 2023 GOTY and my hype for Infinite Wealth is through the roof.

Stellar Blade - I like Bayonetta
Rise of Ronin - I like Nioh
Star Wars Outlaws - I like Star Wars
Granblue Fantasy Relink - I love JRPGs
Persona 3 Reload - I love Persona 3
Metaphor ReFantazio - I love Persona series
Prince of Persia Lost Crown - I love Prince of Persia and metroidvanias
Silent Hill 2 Remake - I love Silent Hill

Nah, it's all facts, 2023 is certainly going to be much better as far as games go. BG3 and ToTK alone ensure it.
