My first playthrough of quake 2 was on a PS1, that was on the stone age of FPS console controls but the port was amazing. Couldn't believe I was playing such a game on a console, you had to have a pretty beefy rig to run it back in the day.

i had a andrenlian Rush, 6 meg card, i remember going from software mode to 3dfx i think it was called? there was a setting for matrix cards as well if i recall.

I remember shooting a bfg and watching that now super green orb reflect its lights everywhere, my mates and I, about 6 of us were like holy fuck look at the graphics haha.

I think this shows a bigger problem: not only is Microsoft not releasing some games on other consoles, contrary to what they promised, they are also releasing feature limited games on the same consoles. This is exactly what Sony complained about.

It being 8 screen split screen, which is absolute crap, have no bearing to it.
