Redfall didn't come close to meeting expectations and has instead been one of the biggest disappointments that Xbox fans have seen in a long time. With this in mind, it looks like many have opted to skip out on playing Redfall completely.

As noted by those on Reddit recently, Redfall's player count on Steam is basically nonexistent. When looking at data from SteamDB, which is a site that tracks usage on Steam, Redfall is only amassing roughly 20 players across the entire platform. As of this weekend, the game happened to peak at a mere 38 players in total, which is absolutely dreadful, to say the least.

The big caveat with this situation is that this data only stems from Steam, which is likely the platform on PC that Xbox players interact with the least. Given that Redfall is available to play via Xbox Game Pass, there's a good chance that many who have played Redfall for themselves have downloaded it through the Microsoft Store. Still, if this Steam data is indicative of how the shooter is performing on other platforms, it spells very bad news for Xbox and Bethesda.

I wonder if they are still planning on a 60 fps patch. It’s already been almost 4 months, lol.

Somehow this makes me want to play it more out of curiosity So bad it's good?

I remember having a blast with crackdown 3. Lots of fun once you upgrade mobility. Just a dumb addictive game.

They should keep this game alive as a free sandbox for new trends. People forget that Fortnite started and failed as a tower defense game. They were able to spin out a battle royale mode soon after PUBG launched, and everything turned around. Red Fall could be the foundation for the next online magic-fps-rpg thing, who knows.

And it's STILL $70....they should have a permanent price decrease to $1. Anything more than that is a scam. Most of the people playing it on Steam only have it because they got it free with their GPU purchase.

I find that very unlikely, Halo Infinite has pratically been abandoned by Microsoft, and it's on a better state player-wise than redfall.

AFAIK they haven't said anything about Redfall except for their post-launch "this is going to be our most supported game ever" statement. It's completely dead. It's unlikely it ever gets a 60fps patch, and the DLC they offer will be the bare minimum they're legally required to release. If they had ANY intent to support it, even at a basic level, they could have put out some marketing and statements giving people hope and shills would have run with "See? They're going to fix it soon! Sea of Thieves level support on the way" to remove some of the negative PR. Instead we have nothing at all, because it is abandoned. Talking about it makes it worse since people will remember it. Likely they want some good press off of Starfield and will dump the news regarding this once it seems nobody cares.
