Activision has rejected Sledgehammer Games' pitch for Advanced Warfare 2 for the second time. The information comes in the wake of the terrible development of Modern Warfare III, a game Sledgehammer didn't want to make:

2015 — In development before Call of Duty: WWII, executive decision to switch to WWII

2021 — pitched after Call of Duty: Vanguard, executive decision to switch to Modern Warfare 3.

Anyone thinking Microsoft owning Activision is going to magically change this kind of thing is huffing Matt Booty's old socks.

Remember how all of the classic IPs were going to magically rise from the grave and be modern hits again? :p

They are rejecting CoD games already. 😂
