Report: Dreams PS5 and PC Version was cancelled

According to new information shared by Lance McDonald during a Twitch broadcast, the PC and PlayStation 5 versions of Dreams have been canceled.



Lance McDonald claims that this new enhanced version of the game was practically ready, but ended up being canceled at the last minute after layoffs at Media Molecule.

For those who don't know, in October 2023 it was officially revealed to the public that Media Molecule had laid off around 20 employees, with the studio having a total of 135 employees (October figures).

The enhanced edition of Dreams would feature several new features, such as support for Ray-Tracing and even mouse and keyboard support in the PlayStation 5 version.

Pardon my french, but what the fuck? This is the stupidest decision of all time. These dickheads dilute their portfolio by releasing PC ports that will sell 5 copies, yet they cancel the port of one of the few "games" that actually makes sense on PC?

I'm pretty sure PS Studios is run by idiots, but I'm also sure sycophants will say they are great.

i heard a rumor too, Bloodborne PC and PS5 versions were finished, they just forgot to release it :ROFLMAO:

Dunno if that's true. Doesn't make sense to cancel a finished game just because 20 people were laid off. Kinda reminds me of the time Duskgolem claimed that the PS5 was struggling with RE8 because he felt like Xbox was getting too much negative discussion and wanted to 'balance things out' by shifting some negativity towards PlayStation.

Well the game was pronounced dead shortly before the lay offs. Who was gonna work on Patching the game going forward if they had ended support? This game should have been on PC day and date of release with PS4.

I mean stranger things have happened? Naughty Dog killing their so called most ambitious game ever though devs claimed it was the most fun they online game they ever made?

You do understand that you're fitting what I said down to a T, right? My attack is directed at sycophants, and you literally took offense in that. Grow up, people like you are the ones that killed xbox, and you're doing it on the PS side. Be better, demand better. And if you don't like my opinions, block me.

You attacked people even when they didn't have said anything. That's fucked up. I don't do that kind of things. It would be a problem if I say for example "first half of 2024 is stacked, but those here who are thinking otherwise are dumbasses ". You see here now?

First half of 2024 are stacked with games. So, i don't see a problem, but you do. And that's fine.
Looks who is talking about growing up.
