Report: Quake II Remaster Announcement is imminent

After a rating in Korea, notable leaker @billbil_kun says the remastered version of Quake II will be announced at QuakeCon 2023 (August 10 to 13) for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (as well as Game Pass).

I wonder if this will be free to existing quake 2 owners on steam like quake remaster
