Very well made game.
Whats it like compared to the original?
As much as I like it, its an amazing game. Its where the series went a different direction and I prefer the formula of the original trilogy.

Still have to play it. RE4 HD ole tus huevos edition looks amazing on PC so I thought this new version wouldn't bring much to the table.

Does it add new stuff a la REmake or cuts content like RE2Make and RE3Make?

Hopefully code Veronica is next. If they continue with RE5 means I am not their target audience anymore.

Thats what I want to know. REmake had content added. RE2Make and 3 had too much missing for me.

Same. Id love if they make Veronica again and dont cut content. Just fix a few annoying issues like save points And ammo situations.

CV was the longest classic RE formula, slow paced, horror, metroidvania. It would be amazing if they done it like RE2make but not cut content

It does both. It's not as bad as RE3 or even 2 remake when it comes to removing stuff. It also changes some encounters. For example, it removes the laser section from the main game but adds it in the Separate Ways DLC but at a different location.

It also greatly expands on the Ashley section. REmake is still the gold standard for RE remakes.

Also completely agree on Veronica. Loved the game but watch them remake 5.

I love how brutal code Veronica was. Bandersnatches attacking you off screen, hunters that poisoned you, tyrant on a plane, and switching characters out of nowhere leaving inventory behind.

But it had the best combat knife in the classic series to balance it out.

CV Along with REmake and Zero had the best lore for the series too out of the mainline games

It was the last original traditional RE game. Had an excellent atmosphere. The "There was a friendly but naive King" song creeps me out.

But please, remove that moth hallway. That thing kills runs.
