SFB Games has recently unveiled its upcoming survival horror adventure game, Crow Country, set to make its way to PlayStation 5 and PC in the near future. Accompanying this announcement is the game’s first-ever trailer, providing a sneak peek into its world and gameplay.
Crow Country | Announcement Trailer | Demo Out Now | PS5, Steam | SFB Games

Set in the year 1990, Crow Country revolves around the mysterious disappearance of Edward Crow, the owner of ‘Crow Country,’ a small theme park in the rural outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia. Edward has not been seen since the abrupt closure of his park two years ago. However, the silence in this forsaken place was suddenly interrupted by a young woman, named Mara Forest, who embarks on a journey into the heart of the theme park in hopes of finding Edward Crow.

In Crow Country, players will navigate the abandoned theme park as Mara, solving engaging puzzles and confronting formidable enemies. As they progress, players will uncover the reason behind Edward Crow’s decision to shut down the theme park and confirm the rumors swirling around it. Players will also delve into the true identity of Mara Forest.
Crow Country introduces a small but memorable cast of characters, while its narrative explores themes of reckless human greed and the idea of an unforgivable sin. It showcases a unique visual aesthetic reminiscent of classic PS1 games, which creates a beautiful, uncanny blend of tension and tranquility. The game features an ‘Exploration Mode’ for those who wish to explore the eerie, desolate theme park without the threat of enemies.

For those eager to get a taste of Crow Country‘s gameplay, a demo version is now available on Steam and PlayStation Store. You may also add it to your wishlist to be notified as soon as it is released.

This actually visually reminds me of those old Ecstatica games on DOS from the '90s but with a color palette closer to City of Lost Children (which also had a PS1 game) mixed with some RE2.

The game is definitely on my radar now.

And the demo isn’t available on the Canadian PS Store. Great.

I played the demo with my sibling and it was really fun. Even a ten year old could have fun and she’s a Fortnite/Roblox kid. I’ve never played many games with the fixed camera thing, and those old controls. I don’t know what you call them when you can’t run and shoot at the same time.

I’ll be buying the full game when it comes out. It does have that Resident Evil tone, but I might not be able to speak on that era since I can barely remember.

Character-relative control sounds super specific. Thank you too. I always hear the phrase tank-control for resident evil
It comes from the fact that the controls aren’t based on the player viewpoint, but reflect the character’s viewpoint. Once you internalize that your control input is linked to the character rather than the camera and is oriented to the direction the character is facing, it honestly becomes the best possible control scheme for a game with set camera angles, as you don’t have to reorient your input when you transition between viewpoints.

Honestly, it’s a lot like controlling an RC car.

It makes sense, yeah, I see. I suppose that’s why the devs choose controls like that for fixed camera games.
