My cousin and my son asked to download it in September...
I said it was not launched.
They didn't beleive.
I had to show to them (that includes to my wife to read to my 4 years old son) that it was scheduled to launch in October 10.
I had that literally to show the PS Store page with the date.
That is how they were waiting for it.
It is the most played game on my wife smartphone.

Sony needed to buy them in order to compete with MS and Minecraft. Unfortunately Jim Ryan is a dumbass and wasted their budget on startups and bungie.
Roblox has a valuation of, last I checked, 20 billion dollars, almost all because of its metacerse/open platform nature. Its almost certainly gone down since then due to bad press, while actuall use of it has only grown. While it might be (but probably isn't a) good buy that would only based on Sony's interest in having a metaverse, with PS access to it only being one facet of the business.
