Note that the info below has been plucked from various sources including CI Games’ public presentations, trademarks, job listings and more. However, given that none of these have officially been announced, please treat it with a bag of salt, as a lot of things could change during a game’s development.

Codename: Project III
  • Unreal Engine 5
  • Most likely PC and the latest generation consoles but I couldn’t find any official statement
  • ‘Built around more ambitious gameplay options for wider audience appeal’
Codename: Project Survive
New IP, open world survival horror
Likely titled: ISLAND: GATE TO GEHENNA

USPTO trademark filing for Island Gate to Gehenna

Trademarks for possible three variants of a title (ISLAND: GATE TO GEHENNA, GATE TO GEHENNA, and GEHENNA) filed on January 18th 2023

  • New IP
  • Release planned for 2025
  • Open world survival game with a horror theme
  • PC and the latest generation consoles
  • Unreal Engine 5
  • From the job listings description: ‘We’re putting a unique twist on the formula, both in mechanics and the environmental challenges we set for the player’
  • Initially developed by both the 3rd party studio Batfields and internal studio Hexworks.
On August 25, 2023, CI Games terminated the production agreement with Batfields for the production of Project Survive. Now, development is being done by Underdog Studio.
  • It was mentioned in 2022 that releasing the game in Early Access is possible, but it’s unknown if it’s still current
  • Two Batfields employees stated on their LinkedIn profiles that the game is going to be announced in 2024. However, since that studio is no longer working on the game, it’s unknown if it’s still relevant

Codename: Sniper Ghost Warrior Next

  • Developed by Underdog Studio with help of external partner studio
  • Unreal Engine 5
Codename: Project Scorpio
New IP, multiplayer PvE tactical FPS
  • New IP
  • Developed by Underdog Studio
  • Unreal Engine 5
  • ‘Premium multiplayer PvE tactical shooter’
  • FPS
  • ‘Post launch it can adopt a GAAS model of live ops support e.g. in-game purchase, expansions and events’
All the in-development titles listed above are said to include a multiplayer component. Furthermore, CI Games filed for a trademark for “Blade of Fate” in 2023, but it was initially filed in 2016 before the release of the mobile game originally titled Lord of the Fallen: Blade of Fate. Since then, CI Games has refiled the trademark in 2019 and in 2023.

Some of the info came from the CI Games Q3 2023 presentation from last month, which you can watch here. In addition to that, some of the other info surfaced via CI Games’ website (1, 2 3), and bankier.pl.

How does this mediocre franchise keep getting sequels, last I read was the latest game hasn't broken even yet.
