That's actually quite good for an indie game. 30k concurrent like 6 months after launch means the game has some core appeal beyond the memes.I was curious and went to check it: in Steam seems that after the 'Pokemon with guns, lol!' meme was over, around 25K-30K per day kept there playing.

I think thats just a single team member who focused on the gun aspects, from the story I just read. The dev as a whole was established for years before this, albeit as a small studio that just did Steam crafting crap. Even if he's the lead animator, which I am not sure of, he's definitely not the lead programmer and might not do any non-animation programming at all.They kinda missed the hype wave on this one, but better late than never I guess.
This games story is still crazy what the lead programmer/animator is just some kid in high school who quit his convenience store job. Take that AAA devs
