Playstation marketing is damn good, the GoW Ragnarok campaign they had was peak. Its just they don't focus that much on regular communication which is both a good and a bad thing

why specifically Dortmund? Let me guess you're from there?
Wouldn't Cologne or Dusseldorf be more appropriate? I know that gaming scene of Germany is mostly in Cologne (Gamescom) and Dusseldorf many streamers/ gaming influencers and also real Japanese communities living there.

They need imo.

European sales what are is driving PS5 below PS4.
They need to focus on sell the PS5 there.
They should do more marketing campaigns in Japan and Asia (Korea, China, Malaysia) for their Japanaese and Asian exclusives. This would have contributed for more sales for Rebirth or XVI for example.

World class Marketing, but that's exactly what is eating millions in the three digits range. Marketing in this big style is expensive.


Cool promotion. Even more hints that they will announce the next Astro game today, something that would make me very happy.

Btw, for those who don't know it, Sony trademarked back in August both in USA and Australia a game name/game logo: "Astro Bot". Same logo than Astro Bot Rescue Mission but without subtitle.

Also, some fun fact from someone who worked in marketing of a big publisher: these kind of campaigns of building huge stuff in the middle of the street of important cities is super fucking expensive, more than it seems.

Counting everything that may be a campaign with a 7 or 8 digits budget.

I remember the spider-man 2 marketing being fire, loved those cgi fights between peter, miles and venom, despite not reflecting the actual boss fights in the game it built a lot of hype

They should... I'm not saying they have to stop to do marketing campaign in Japan / Asia.
In fact there they could to more Special Editions and colorful plates.

But Japan / Asia have PS5 way ahead PS4.

Right now the only place they have to give a shake up is Europe.
It is not to forgot the others places but that Europe needs a better plan (and price cut).

Europe was the biggest region for PS3 and PS4... now it is becoming weak for PS5... Sony needs to work on it.
