Following the announcement of the brand-new Astro Bot game that is planned to be released for PlayStation 5 on September 6, 2024, the store page and a recent interview have shared new details. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Team Asobi studio head Nicolas Doucet described it as a “PlayStation fiesta” and as “Astro’s big story” that goes up several notches.
Doucet also says the new Astro Bot is a “really, really big game” and the biggest one the team has ever made. Further, the game’s title simply being Astro Bot is because Team Asobi is treating it as a new beginning.
Moreover, the official Astro Bot page on the PlayStation website reveals that fans can anticipate over “150 iconic VIP Bots inspired by legendary characters from 30 years of PlayStation history.” Astro Bot will not feature any in-game purchases or multiplayer. Another tidbit is that players will be able to save over 300 bots.
The Game will be 4 times the size of the released Astro Bot.
