When they try to convince you remote play and streaming is trash. Looks good to me BTW I use these features regularly so I know :)

I’ve been using Remote Play this weekend on a piece of shit Actiontec router from my ISP and it’s STILL working really well, just the odd hiccup compared to the D-Link I was using, but so many halfwits who don’t even know to change their router off the default channel will tell you it NEVER works…

I found if i use my phone(galaxy s23) the remote play is great no lag.

But my android tablet(one plus pad) struggles and i get lag always.

Both are connected to the same router using 5ghz wifi.

Maybe it's a crappy wifi chip in the one plus pad.

I've got a friend at work that plays his games remotely during his lunch break. I think it works pretty well all things considered.

The first hint was that it’s a OnePlus device.

Anything with a good WiFi chip gets good results. I had a $100 HP tablet in the early PS4 days that did a great job in Remote Play, and all my Apple devices are perfect, to say nothing of how well PS4 Remote Play worked on a Vita. Meanwhile, I had work-issued Dell and Lenovo laptops that were utter shit for it.

I do tht some times. On a laptop it's like a mini TV and works well.
I used to keep my Vita at my desk on weekends doing in-house support for an airline. Played a good bit of Diablo III on office WiFi without a hitch, but the operations room had an access point right in the center of the room, which no doubt helped.

Definitely but I play like 140 miles away at my girl house who only has like 200 dl and 40 upload and it still works good.

No doubt!

It all just depends on your PS4 or 5 having a good connection and whatever device you’re playing on having one, and it’s much better than people assume.

Sony didn’t buy Gaikai just because they liked the name! There was some great work that they acquired the patents to that are the secret sauce in Sony’s streaming that puts it well ahead of the rest of the pack.
