Squadron 42 Will Release in 2026 for PC with 30-40 Hours of Campaign, Prologue Gameplay Revealed

Squadron 42 has received a 2026 release date at this year’s Citizencon and has been confirmed to have 30-40 hours of gameplay.

The announcement came following a demo of Squadron 42 at Citizencon, which showcased the game’s first chapter in spectacular fashion, featuring a prologue of a space battle that introduces players to the universe.

The demo wasn’t without its hiccups, though. Two game crashes occurred throughout the presentation, played live on stage. The second crash was comically blamed on the computer rather than the game’s unstable nature.

I'm definitely a whale, but I only buy games once they're finished.

I'm not saying it's bad, but my take is more of a lack of understanding what this game is other than the short segment they featured with the space combat.
