Banana is a game where you click on a banana to earn skins you can sell for real money. This whole situation is a perfect intro to what passes for entertainment on Steam.

Really makes you wonder how much of the engagement numbers - the MAUs and such - are faked via bots given how easy it is to do, and how terminally low sales of actual software are on the platform.

Counterstrike is also famous for having tons of bots. I don't know who wastes money and electricity for that shit. Losers.
The skin economy is pretty lucrative for CS, eastern european and russsians have made an entire industry out of skins gambling and betting and earn better than day jobs in those countries.

same shit games are on psn.
Sony should get rid of this crap as it really makes real games harder to see on dekudeals

I remember doing testing for Counterstrike as a teen. Back then it was new and different. Not sure what people are playing now days

All games are pumped up with bot numbers.
All social media is pumped up with bot numbers
The entire internet is pumped up with bot numbers.

Do you really believe 150 million people are playing cod?
Or that Facebook has 2 billion users?

In 2010, a company who specialised in reporting and removing fake accounts, were removing 30 million a day. That's in 2010.

If any of this is news to you, then you're a bot.

Remember when people tried to equate making a free Steam account to actual console sales? 😂

I know CSGO/Dota players that bounce around between 5 different accounts just to smurf or to avoid low priority queue

I don't think many people (not you guys here on IconEra) realize, but Valve has made a ton of money off of CounterStrike lootboxes, and Steam avatars, background profile pictures, etc.. and you can even buy "badges" to level up your Steam account! lmao

It's scummy, but if Valve can get away with such a hussle, I don't blame them.
No wonder they stopped making full-fledged games. The whales and cows practically power Valve!
