I agree with you that Sony releases are always sabotaged by external factors and they don't do anything to counter it (FF7 sales, Ronin same day as DD2, Stellar Blade controversy). It's like they look for it at this point. Total silence every time.

I went to see on GAF and the person the most mad about this is Manabyte, the biggest gamepass and Xbox astroturfer there. Very fishy. This controversy was all manufactured by them and then twitter went crazy. It's spreading everywhere. It works everytime and Sony doesn't do anything.

Hiroki Totoki critised openly PlayStation studios like Insomniac, Naughty Dog and Guerilla because of their horrendous budgets they devoured and also the performance of ND. AAA games will still come but in much smaller scale we knew. Therefore it makes no sense to elect a western person as the next CEO. The next 100% will be Asian.
