Possibly.Sega probably thought by kissing Microsofts ass and putting games on gamepass they could get sony and Nintendo to pay more for stuff like marketing rights. But Sega games on Xbox and gamepass haven't done sht to help xbox or Sega.
They would definitely die off or lose some good income.Sony should never do any deals with Sega again, let them learn their lesson. Same for any other publisher that does that including SE and Capcom.
Tht bag has indeed dried up.Aww, Sega running back to PS after the GP bag dried up.
PS should get exclusive Persona & Sonic games then these 3rd party deals like Rise of the Ronin, Stellar Blade etc maybe because it’s its prominent ips but exclusive Persona & Sonic games would hit harder & push PS console sells higher then these more risky deals that may or may not pay off.Sony should never do any deals with Sega again, let them learn their lesson. I remember that the Valkyrie Chronicles were promoted exclusively by Sony, and as soon as Sega started working with MS and ported the existing games to PC, the VC series immediately stopped showing signs of life...Sega probably thought by kissing Microsofts ass and putting games on gamepass they could get sony and Nintendo to pay more for stuff like marketing rights. Sony should also license there ip to 3rd party to get more games of these franchise like Nintendo. I would license out Uncharted to SNK to make an Uncharted meets Metal Slug game as a spin of Uncharted game sold for $50 smaller game with smaller scope that fills in the year & gives uncharted fans & PS fans more Uncharted games.
Look who's suddenly open to do platform exclusives again
Sony is not getting an exclusive Sonic game. Like yeah, Sonic games sell well on PlayStation, but they sell better on Nintendo. So if anyone's getting an exclusive Sonic game it's Nintendo and, actually, they've already gotten several in the past (that Bioware-developed Sonic RPG, the Raving Rabbits games, Lost World on the Wii U, etc.).
Maybe Sony could get marketing & exclusivity deal for VF6 tho, like they did for SFV. There is already a rumor SIE are co-developing some AA games with SEGA/Atlus and Namco-Bandai, like a Wipeout revival. However as time goes on I put less and less stock in that particular rumor.
I assume Sony would like to buy any of them, same as with Sega, Bandai Namco, Kadokawa, Ubisoft, etc.If there wasn’t a bigger reason for Sony to lockdown some of these gaming publisher ie Capcom & Square Enix
Sega said the opposite for their mid-term (3 years) plan, that they will focus more on multiplatform and global releases to raise their revenue.Look who's suddenly open to do platform exclusives again
When companies like Sony or MS acquire big multiplatform stuff like Mojang, Bethesda, Bungie or ABK it's to get the money they make in all platforms, so keep them as multiplatform.Sony is not getting an exclusive Sonic game.

The thing is that if they don't want to sell Sony can't buy them.

Pretty likely same would apply if any of them would acquire big publishers like Sega, Capcom, etc.: they'd keep them multiplatform and would just block exclusives for rival consoles or game subs. This would help them make more money while also having less issues with market regulators.
