Netflix had been looking to put together a TV series based on Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Down, set in a post-apocalyptic United States inhabited by robotic creatures and following clever outcast hunter Aloy, for the past few months.

Horizon Zero Dawn and Orbital are elevated, event-level projects grounded in characters that fans will love and relate to, which are hallmarks of Irish Cowboy productions,” said Blackman. “We’re thrilled to be working with Netflix and all of our partners on developing these ground-breaking stories.”

We increasing prices and talking tv, tv, tv. Ive seen this before but i cant remember when.

MS's TV shit was so tragic because it was a decent idea (pass-through cable for cable boxes, XBox becomes an IR remote.) that came at a time when chord cutting skyrocketed and particularly among young people in some of the main gaming demos.

So that shit became completely useless to most gamers who either already had, or were in the process of ditching cable.

What a disaster.

It's funny we went from Sony maybe hurting themselves including Blu-Ray in PS3 to push that format, then we got Microsoft trying to fucking latch onto cable TV in the following gen while Sony focused on.. actual games.

If the Xbox 360 had that feature (and MS was also still trying to make/buy games) that would have probably been really damn popular. It was slick when it worked for anyone w/ a cable box, took many years for cable boxes to kinda catch up to what an Xbox one could do.

It’s cool to see Sony going full steam ahead even adapting niche stuff like Gravity Rush.

I assume everything is on the table and I expect TLOU series to be decent.

HOWEVER…. That uncharted movie was one of the worst action blockbusters I have ever seen. How do I say it? Steaming pile of shit? Absolutely horrible Marvel brain garbage movie.

Considering all the media features PS3 had (a few even the PS5 still lacks), and the PSX DVR that was Japan-only, I'm surprised that system didn't have a cable pass-through built-in. But since the PSX-DVR failed miserably, that might've dissuaded Sony a bit.

The cable pass-through for XBO would've gone over better if MS didn't lead their marketing with TV TV TV. It should've been about the games first and foremost but, their messaging put the actual games on the sidelines.

Hermen will kick down the game door in a couple of weeks.

Let's hope so.
