The Finals, stylized in all caps as THE FINALS, is a free-to-play first-person shooter, developed and published by Nexon subsidiary Embark Studios.[2][3] The game focuses on team-based matches on maps with a destructible environment, where players are encouraged to use the dynamic environment to their advantage.[4]

Embark Studios' multiplayer shooter dazzles in the moment, but its AI voices are symptomatic of a broader issue with artistic vision.

Where it’s at.
So, this review is saying the game that uses the insanely pedestrian and generic shooter format and has the most tragically generic title of all time, MIGHT be a little uninspired? I am SHOCKED!

This game is so addicting. Though they could've cut the map sizes by a third and gave us more variety of them. Time of day/weather changes can only take you so far.

The building with the casino is the only map that stands out to me, which is a problem.

I'm still warming up to it. Apex Legends remains the best service shooter in my book. I like the physical deformation, old school jump pads, and steal-the-bacon rules as a change of pace from Battle Royale. I'm impressed by how good it looks and runs (on PS5 and 6700XT). Gun play and movement are fun, though less dialed in than Apex or Destiny. The character and the world is not very exciting. The game show aesthetic in Online Service games is a kiss of death. I might need to check out the customizations more, but my character is just a chubby white lady. Level design feels a bit blocky and cartoonish like Overwatch. I think levels that were like an urban area of a Battlefield map would be better.

Great ideas with this but the controller aiming, the slow strafing and the terrible TTK hurts it for me.
