Entertainment reporter Jeff Sneider claims on his own site that Kaitlyn Dever “is in talks” to take on the role of the character.

Earlier this year, Neil Druckmann told The Hollywood Reporter that Dever was one of “dozens and dozens” of actors who had auditioned for the role of Ellie in the show’s first season, and got as far as doing a table read.

It would now appear that even though Dever wasn’t successful in gaining the role of Ellie, she may yet feature in the show as one of its most important characters.

What age difference? Bella Ramsey is already older than Ellie in the second game. If they stop using a chest binder and add a 2inch shoe lift, they will be close to Ellie's "height" as Ellie in the show.

Ellie is different because ND changed the design… she was very similar to Ellen Page at first game but got changed in the Remaster due controversies I believe and so changed again in TLOU2.

There are basically 4 Ellie design.

TLOU Remastered (the one people most remember)
TLOU Part 2
TLOU Part 1 (yeap they changed again)

Even with the age difference she should be similar and not a different looking character in the games.

The show will be more accurate with the same actress… you can make people look older with make up alone.

Ohhhh that was great that they changed before release.
Even she (today he) complained in public about using her/his face.

I think they just made some slight adjustments on the cutscenes to make her proportions more natural. In Part 1 Remake she looks like a young version of Part 2 Ellie. The fuckup was in one of Part 2's flashbacks where her face looked disproportionate. All others look pretty much the same as Part 1

My brother family (he and wife) that never do anything related to games loved it and are super hyped to Season 2.

I guess the success will only become bigger.
