Jason Schreier convinces fans that Star Wars: KOTOR Remake is well under development, citing two unnamed Saber Interactive employees as sources.

  • After Jeff Grubb's report stating KOTOR Remake is not being worked upon, Jason Schreier has reported on the contrary.
  • Citing two unnamed sources from Saber Interactive, Schreier revealed the remake is well under development.
  • The two conflicting reports have divided fans as they remain hopeful of hearing more positive updates about the remake.
The Star Wars: KOTOR Remake drama has seen more positive and negative news than any other game. The game was first revealed two years ago with a dramatic teaser, and it was announced that Saber Interactive is developing the game along with BioWare and Obsidian Entertainment.

In just the past month, the number of times the game has been reported to be shelved, dead, or under development would make it sound like a rare Bigfoot sighting that can’t be relied upon. Amidst all this, reliable leaker and gaming industry journalist Jason Schreier has shed some light on the drama and believes that the game is surely under development.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake Is Well Under Development, According to Jason Schreier

Schreier mentioned that three frequently asked questions about the game include “Is it alive?“, “Will it ever actually come out?“, and “If it does ever come out, what will it actually look like?“. Responding to all three questions, Schreier answered that he did speak to a couple of unnamed sources from Saber Interactive, both of whom seem to have responded by saying “they’re still currently working on it.

For this reason, Schreier said that all the news about the game not being worked on “in any way” is incorrect.

Schreier also took to Reddit, responding to a couple of comments on a post where fans were discussing the game’s status based on his post on the ResetEra Forum. Schreier compared the game’s status to that of the young boy who was seen towards the very end of the 2017 movie, The Last Jedi, moving a broom with the force. Schreier went on to explain that the remake “Definitely exists, but will anything ever come of it or will everyone just move on like it never happened?
