Star Wars creator George Lucas secured his place as a movie legend in 1977, and he has insights into the current state of movies and where they're headed.

Now in his 80s, Lucas has had plenty of time to examine films both up close and far, so he had plenty to say when asked what cinema will be like in 10 years.

"It's the same as now. What happens now - and it happens in streaming probably more than the features, but the features, it's the same - no one knows what to do," he said. "The stories they're telling are just old movies. 'Let's make a sequel, let's make another version of this movie.' And it's not just in movies, but in almost everything, there's almost no imagination."

One of two, or the writers' strike continues; who now write novels and create comics, which is more lucrative and/or attractive for them. Or they have put an AI, a GPT chat bot, to write scripts; saving money from paying real people; as they will undoubtedly do on apple day, with actors and specialists, when things are more mature.

They could make humor films, parodies of others. For example:

- " The Terminator" movie is now about a cheeky guy, who sneaks into private parties and barbecues; and you get sick of eating sandwiches, canapés, and other snacks; sausages, steaks with potatoes, ice cold beer, tinto de Verano, cubatas; cake and ice cream. And when he can't eat anymore, he says "sayo ara baby, see you at another party." The neighbors, understandably angry, because it ruins their parties. They chase him running throughout the neighborhood and adjacent areas with sticks and throw things at his head... He also has a friend, who is actually a robot, made of fruit jelly, that changes shape; and sneaks more discreetly into the parties; to get him sandwiches, sodas and chips, without being recognized, and they both put on their food boots,...

- " The Barman" movie i( Batman) is about a guy who works in a club, preparing cocktails with various drinks; and although he is a good guy, he is a good bird. But it arouses the admiration and envy of the jocker, is the croupier of the entertainment venue. So, ...

- the film " The barbarian ", is about a neighbor who lives in an urbanization; and who works in a local establishment. The guy is very brutish, and does things haphazardly; although without bad intention; That's why they know him as "the barbarian", ...

Rich from the guy that released a very mediocre prequel trilogy while re-releasing the first three movies multiple times while butchering them with unneeded CGI.

He does make some decent points, but Lucas was part of the problem starting in the 90s.
