Later in the Episode Colin makes a great point the Phil Spencer seemingly has no oversight whatsoever. He also says in another part that he is delusional. I think thats what makes Microsoft so dangerous for gaming is they seemingly have infinite resources and a guy with a destructive vision that has no oversight or guard rails. Short of buying valve and/or nintendo, it it literally impossible for them to reach even the bare minimum of long term goals in terms of subscribership and yet this is allowed to go on. Phil Spencer shouldve been fired along time ago but because no one in the company actually cares about xbox, its his little fiefdom. Hopefully the xbox division has more eyes on it now within the company thanks to all the regulatory hurdles and investigations its brought upon the company as a whole.

Within the company? I think you mean outside the company. Everyone on the inside knew/know what's going on. Hell, they even agreed and thought his ideas were good he couldn't do anything if the parent company didn't give the ok to do so.

I mean like board of directors who may not have cared about the division now have a critical eye of it now that its public just how bad its doing.

Your daily reminder that Colin Moriarty wishes all games were ten hours long so he wouldn't have to keep playing them and could more quickly move on to his next soulless review.

"Gaming is our most likely path to consumer relevance"

It was either gonna be Zune or Xbox I guess.

I just don’t understand how can anybody takes what Uncle Phil says seriously.
He basically says what you to hear independent of the reality.
And his ideias for gaming is most anti-consumer’s thank pro-consumer.

Uncle Phil and Microsoft wants to destroy the game industry and after that become the sole player that do what they want.

Colin Moriarty is a dipshit who is constantly wrong about everything, including this.
I don't think so. HIs take is right on the money, and you're trying to disprove the merit of the argument by attacking the person. It's about as silly of a look as you can get. Microsoft has been revealed to be a complete stain on the industry, and people are starting to call it out.

I made a thread on Xbox using a segment from this very same interview back in the day on NG. But it was more along the lines of addressing what has clearly happened to the Xbox division after being started by people who actually cared.

The video above still perfectly describes Microsoft to this day.

Yeah, the people from Colin's podcast does not like it when people tweet clips from their show and went after the last person who did. Probably why the clip is gone now. Probably didn't want to be accused of being a PlayStation fanboy and harassed because of that clip.

He's always very concerned about pro-playstation bias in his playstation oriented podcast. Very odd, when his xbox oriented podcast is hosted by shills who openly admit to receiving instructions for damage control directly from MS. Zero concerns about bias there.

Could it be related to where the majority of his Patreon contributions come from? Conflict of interest by any other name, Colin.
