Only 43k people are playing Starfield a month after release. Nobody talks about it anymore.

No joke... it's probably been discussed. Even if they probably would never be allowed and the Japanese government would veto it...
Sony is in so many industries, it would be a complete mess too, to manage. Not to mention between 100 and 120K employees.
I mean Bethesda was always overrated to My short venture through their library (I played daggerfall for 20 minutes and played Skyrim for about 20 hours so trust me I’m a expert on bethesda) i mean Skyrim is overrated bur Hey at least xbox got that Bethesda game design on their side. That’ll save them.
Imo Bethesda was the smart buy and Activision is the overshoot that could bring down Xbox.
Even with Redfall and Starfield disappointing, the Bethesda teams have more talent making a diversity of AAA games. Id and Machine Games are perfect fits for the Xbox audience.
By comparison Activision is fully tooled to produce Call of Duty. I question whether Infinity Ward or Sledgehammer or Treyarch or Raven have the capacity to make anything else, and I doubt MS wants them to. They're basically a hydra-headed 343 that only exist to keep Call of Duty flowing.
Blizzard is the real talent of the ABK acquisition, and they are also on the decline. I don't agree with the Diablo 4 hate online, but it's obvious they've lost their magic touch in the last 10 years.

I don't think they bought Activision for the games. Just for the cash flow. And specially king on mobile which is not talked that much.Even if they leave everything as is, they will make a crap ton of money
Their games aren't particularly exciting to me but can't deny they sell a lot.

Nah. Its sunk cost fallacy at this point. They will spend money until gamepass takes off or they break the industry. Or a new ceo takes over for MS that doesnt want to keep burning money on gaming.
There is definitely an audience on PlayStation for it. Xbox has always just been a North American shooter box IMO.
