It’s a product in line with the dualsense edge not the psp

That's what's so wrong-headed about people asking for a new Playstation handheld. Literally making a PS4 compatible handheld revives up the cross-gen era just as we're getting past it. Any bespoke PSP3 style device is a guaranteed flop. Portal gives Playstation5 players portability with no downside at a low price.

A portable PS4-level device would have to be priced at least double what the Portal does, and the sales of the Steam Deck, ROG Ally and other handhelds in that range clearly show that devices in that range are simply not mass market movers.

The Portal is a targeted device. For its use case, there’s no solution as elegant and the quality level they can reach for that price point will be something truly in the Sony tradition.

But a lot of “gamers” are just too short-sighted and limited in their thinking, so they piss and moan about how Sony is doing it wrong.
