UK Charts: The Usual Suspects Pad Out A Quiet Week Ahead Of Paper Mario

The latest UK Charts are in, and... look, we'll be honest, it's not a particularly exciting week.

The usual suspects, such as EA Sports FC 24, Hogwarts Legacy, Minecraft, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe all make the top ten as usual, with the likes of Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition and Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate sneaking in to take the second and fourth spots respectively.

Elsewhere, Endless Ocean Luminous has fallen out of the charts altogether (and we kind of saw that coming, not gonna lie), while the PS5's Stellar Blade is slowly tumbling down the ranks after a strong start that developer Shift Up will be most pleased with.

Seems like helldivers really fell off. What happend?
Did the players just moved on? These games often stay up there for a bit longer.

Time for games like Fifa etc to abandon last gen. PS4 copies shouldnt be selling more than PS5 coming close to year 4

Yes, third party publishers should stop shipping last gen versions because they're actually selling a decent amount of them, that makes sense.

A lot of people are probably buying the newest version of GTA5 on PS5 and then you have to realize that these games are GaaS, so of course they're getting new people all the time.

Hogwarts legacy came to last gen late, so you can see its dominated by ps4 and switch users. Even more people are buying EA FC on PS4 than PS5.

I think one thing people mistake about charts is that they don't necessarily mean something is selling well, it's just selling better than everything else. These games basically have a baseline of sales all the time.

It's not like there are a bunch of new games out here.

PS4 still has more units sold than PS5 and more active users or similarly active users. The people with a PS5 were more likely to buy right away, and there is no digital only PS4.


The longer a game is on the market the more likely the physical sales will start to lean PS4.

Does this chart indicates a total player numbers or weekly players or sales or what? Players number weekly for HD2 is still healthy, although trajectory is downward. I think you are aware that these boxed sales represents those who bought a new game.

GT7 isn't on the chart for quite some time. So, does this mean players moved on and left GT7? No, GT7 players base is still healthy.
