[UK Charts] 56% of FFXVI sales were digital (44% boxed)

I have moved on to digital a few years back as well… lacking the space needed in an NYC apartment for all those game boxes.

Physical sales are falling off a cliff compared to digital. I see more and more releases skipping the disc based version.

Diablo 4 opened higher than FF16 with digital sales included.

Digital split better than I was expecting. Hope the game will have good legs or decent tail wind sales. The sales aren't that good but not bad either.

I wonder if Japan saw similar digital splits...

Seems like stabilized afer COVID19.

I mean Digital is being 50-60% in console for a time already and it stopped to grow.
Even for PS alone the overall average is around 70% (that includes digital only titles) if I'm not wrong.

My point is there is no more room to digital grow anymore... so it is stagnated.

Diablo 4 is PC included so that fucks the comparison with PS5-only FF16.

Still, 56% is very high for a single player JRPG. I think physical in UK is now officially irrelevant. Good for discussion tho.
