I'm trying to play this but there's a ridiculous amount of cutscenes and story in the beginning. 2 hours in and it's 98% story. It's like they want to show me the background story of every character that appears on screen.Like a Dragon, really enjoying it, about 4 hours in.
i hear ya on the cutscenes, i am hoping there is more combat as it goes, i have not even found a new party member yet or found any equipment to wear.I'm trying to play this but there's a ridiculous amount of cutscenes and story in the beginning. 2 hours in and it's 98% story. It's not interesting and I don't care about their lives as a child
Iirc when you get to hobo town in Yokohama, the Adachi and Nanba join you pretty quickly and that's when the game starts to open up a bit. You get the fourth party member after you beat the first real 'dungeon'i hear ya on the cutscenes, i am hoping there is more combat as it goes, i have not even found a new party member yet or found any equipment to wear.
I don't understand the people that said the game is very short. It took me 8 hours. The same thing happened to me with Kena. That game was so huge.Stray taking me longer than it should take anyone for some reason.
Kena took me around 30 hours to fully complete. Such a great game. Can't wait to see what Ember Lab is working on next. The same thing happened to me with Kena. That game was so huge.
I'm thinking about picking that up later. I enjoyed Ghost of Tsushima so much that I want to try similar games. I already bought Ass Creed OdysseyPlaying Far Cry 6 for the Free Weekend enjoy it so much bought it.
It a good Far Cry game, i like it more than Far Cry 5.I'm thinking about picking that up later. I enjoyed Ghost of Tsushima so much that I want to try similar games. I already bought Ass Creed Odyssey
I saw expert mode being an option but idk what it is. The game has taken most of my playtime now, I'm at around 11 hours I'm really liking itWell............dropped Xuan Yuan Sword VII. It's not bad, just very slow and couldn't really get into it. Should have stayed with my original plan which was to play Sword and Fairy: Together Forever. I have a bad habit of finding a new franchise/series and then looking into previous or connected games or similar games and it rarely works out for me.
Anyway, I messed around with S&F for about 90 minutes give or take. Definitely more action oriented thus far. Good action sequence in the beginning of the game. Looks stunning even without HDR or any Ray Tracing. Combat seems solid. Played on hard for these 90 minutes. Almost died twice with the woman but thankfully, I didn't. Will stick with hard and see how the game progresses. Made it to the village and completed a side quest before turning off the game.
I do have a few nitpicks. The text under the mini-map is small. Wish this could be made larger. I'm using large subtitles which is a must in my opinion. Would like to turn off the captions that go above NPC's heads when near them. Side quests have no voice acting at all. Reminds me of Yakuza. Not a deal breaker but I wish they had the Chinese voice acting for side quests. At first, I thought the audio cut out or something. lol. There's also no waypoint which is disappointing considering the older game I was playing had waypoints.
@Hobbygaming - do you know what "expert mode" is in the options/settings menu? Thanks.
Okay, thanks.I saw expert mode being an option but idk what it is. The game has taken most of my playtime now, I'm at around 11 hours I'm really liking it
This always happens with me, people say a game is very short and then it takes me way longer to beat itStray taking me longer than it should take anyone for some reason.
Then I have Terminator and Ghostwire Tokyo and loads of other stuff to get to.
