Small change for me -

Since Amazon shipped me Xuan Yuan Sword 7 in literally a day and received it yesterday, I will be starting this later tonight as it's the older game and once im finished, I will then play the Sword and Fairy game.

Beat ch3 in xenoblade chronicles 3. Also tried and gave up on Hades. Between that and hating binding of Issac, I've come to the conclusion that I hate Rogue lite/likes.

Like a Dragon, really enjoying it, about 4 hours in.

GTA 5 online with some friends, not sure it's my cup of tea tbh, can't seem to play it at all in solo missions, get bored really fast, driving is good, but the shooting and feel of the character really feels shit.

Been playing Xuan Yuan Sword VII. About 5 hours in. Overall, pretty good. Story is keeping me interested and the combat is solid. I am playing on easy so no real challenge thus far but I don't want to take weeks to get through the game as im more hyped to play Sword and Fairy. But overall, enjoying it thus far.

I'm trying to play this but there's a ridiculous amount of cutscenes and story in the beginning. 2 hours in and it's 98% story. It's like they want to show me the background story of every character that appears on screen.

It's not interesting and I don't care about their lives as a child 🥴

Death Stranding: Director's Cut - I'm like halfway through Chapter 2. I'm 50/50 on this game. If I play it in small doses I enjoy it

The Last of Us Part II - Seattle day 1 with Ellie. Very good characters, animations, graphics.

Infamous 2 - this is the only Infamous game I haven't beaten. I think the series improved with the PS4 titles and Ghost of Sushi is better than Infamous in general. Still, it's good.

Sifu - just started

Iirc when you get to hobo town in Yokohama, the Adachi and Nanba join you pretty quickly and that's when the game starts to open up a bit. You get the fourth party member after you beat the first real 'dungeon'

AI: The Somnium File. Got it for under 8 Euro in the current PSN sale.

Already got some of the endings, but still missing a few and then going for 100%.

Good story and likeable characters. A lot of japanese humor.

Well............dropped Xuan Yuan Sword VII. It's not bad, just very slow and couldn't really get into it. Should have stayed with my original plan which was to play Sword and Fairy: Together Forever. I have a bad habit of finding a new franchise/series and then looking into previous or connected games or similar games and it rarely works out for me.

Anyway, I messed around with S&F for about 90 minutes give or take. Definitely more action oriented thus far. Good action sequence in the beginning of the game. Looks stunning even without HDR or any Ray Tracing. Combat seems solid. Played on hard for these 90 minutes. Almost died twice with the woman but thankfully, I didn't. Will stick with hard and see how the game progresses. Made it to the village and completed a side quest before turning off the game.

I do have a few nitpicks. The text under the mini-map is small. Wish this could be made larger. I'm using large subtitles which is a must in my opinion. Would like to turn off the captions that go above NPC's heads when near them. Side quests have no voice acting at all. Reminds me of Yakuza. Not a deal breaker but I wish they had the Chinese voice acting for side quests. At first, I thought the audio cut out or something. lol. There's also no waypoint which is disappointing considering the older game I was playing had waypoints.

@Hobbygaming - do you know what "expert mode" is in the options/settings menu? Thanks.

I saw expert mode being an option but idk what it is. The game has taken most of my playtime now, I'm at around 11 hours I'm really liking it

Okay, thanks.

Nice. Will be a few more days before I restart it due to work but yeah, in just the 90 minutes I played, was into more than the Xuan Yuan Sword 7 game.

This always happens with me, people say a game is very short and then it takes me way longer to beat it

I think people just like to rush through games

Jumping onto Assassins Creed Odyssey after very much enjoying Origins recently. Have had these games since launch, but only with the 60fps could I muster up the desire.

Some immediate positive changes in Odyssey, dialogue options giving more agency to how much depth you want to go into while conversing. But the big one which open world has been crying out for is that Exploration mode is the default way to play the game. You no longer get an objective marker on your map - you get a description, Abandoned house on the west side of island xyz….and off you go. Brilliant.

Only at the beginning, hopefully the game continues to delight.
