Explosive Zombie

Well-known member
I just finished Wasteland 3 and am about to dive in for a second run doing things differently and at a higher difficulty! I fully recommend it to fans of old school PC RPGs, X-COM, Fallout, choice-based games, etc...

Horizon Forbidden West, did an all-nighter recently I got into it so much.

Some nights I get so much done and other nights I just dont feel like playing.

Destiny 2 takes up the rest of my time gaming ATM. Had singles Trials of Osiris last week apparently.

I'm playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider (PS5), with glorious 60 fps patch.

Kinda wish Crystal dynamics and that franchise went to a publisher who knew how to make the most out of them.

There's quite a lot of quality there.

Absolutely, Sony should have picked them up for the chump-change they were selling for.
Some great IP's too...Deus Ex and Soul Reaver etc.

Great film material too.

Still playing Horizon Forbidden West and also Tiny Tina Wonderlands.

Can you believe that Aloy and Tiny Tina are both voiced by the same actress? 😳

The character Tiny Tina is so terrible it's ruining the game for me. I don't know why the fuck she did that awful voice. It's so annoying 😭

A few games from the PS+ Catalog:
  • Miles Morales (finished)
  • Demon's Souls (temporarily paused after beating Phalanx)
  • Lawn Mowing Simulator (this is surprisingly addictive lol)
  • Rocket League (for MP)
  • Ghost of Tsushima DC (just restarted it for a narrative adventure. Iki will be new for me.)

I was going to play Lawn Mowing Sim for the memes etc but now you have me kinda intrigued!

It really is good.
  1. The actual process of mowing the lawn is very relaxing. Put on some songs on Spotify though in the BG.
  2. The sense of progression is fantastic. It's not just mowing the lawn; it's about building a lawn-moving business. So with each job, you feel like growing your business: hiring new employees, purchasing better equipment, expanding your HQ, taking more contracts, spending money on marketing and ads, taking loans for aggressive growth, etc.

Are you playing DS as a Sorcerer? It was the only way for me to finish the game 🤣 Once it "clicks" you will become addicted you'll see. The remake is awesome 👌

I started as a Royalty (that's what most people recommended as the easiest class).

Souls games have never been for me. I don't mind the difficulty (finished and loved Returnal), but these games are way too convoluted. I'll probably come back to it sometime later in a month or two.

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Shredder's Revenge: really awesome beat'em up made with love for the IP and the classics from the genre or Street Fighter. A GOTY contender for me.
  • Galacticon (available on Switch and Steam as of now): a super fun retro arcade indie inspired by classics from the early '80s like Defender or Joust with some smart and creative additions that mixes perfectly with classic arcades. Play it, it's new but has a very low price.
  • FIFA 22: After around two decades without playing a FIFA game, got it with Plus because I was interested to see how the genre evolved since then and was curious about the FUT stuff to investigate it. Surprised it (still) has some big bugs, loved the manager game mode but found FUT is super awful in terms of intuitiveness for new players, it's a broken mess in terms of UX for new players and its initial learning curve.
  • Looking forward to the European release of PS+ later this week, I'll be migrated to Premium so I'll try many pending games I have.
