If you have a 4K TV you probably will have native apps on your TV for most stuff.

Interesting. I mainly just use my phone and tablet for streaming, but my TV is a piece of shit. If I had a 4ktv I might have been using my ps5 for streaming.

I have a decent TV and the built-in applications are at least as good, and as responsive, as the ones in the consoles anyway, so I use those.

However, my previous set was a Samsung TV from 2017 and the Netflix app would freeze or refuse to start from time to time on tyzen OS (Samsung is garbage tier in everything they do)... So I used my PlayStation to watch stuff on it.

Good article. I have never used any app on my PlayStation or Xbox consoles ever. The closest I ever came was using the PS4 internet browser back in 2014 to buy a new laptop from Best Buy after my previous laptop died out. My gaming consoles are for just that - gaming. lol
