So we all have our favourites Studios and Publishers. Which games do you dislike from them?
And if there a studio that hasn't ever disappointed you?
Playstation:
-Days Gone. I made the mistake of playing this straight after TLOU2. And I felt compared to the likes of GOW, TLOU, Uncharted, Horizon, GOT, Spiderman, it was made by a completely different planet. The quality was missing, the melee was atrocious after coming from TLOU2, it just didnt feel like the high quality I was use to from Playstation. Decent story, characters, graphics, zombie combat but not the Playstation standard I am use to.
-Sackboy’s Adventure. Great for kids. But just was missing the X factor. Compare it to Astrobot, Mario, even the original Jak n Daxter and for me its missing charm and great gameplay. Its fine, but nothinig more. Good for kids and to play with your kids etc. But not the world beater Playstation needed.
-Destruction All Stars. Tried this and just wasnt for me.
-Horizon. Call of the Mountain. Its ok, just not your AAA quality you expect from Playstation studios.
Nintendo:
-Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. If I wanna shake a controller every 2 seconds and go upside down, Id up watch upside porn. I enjoy the level design of Mario games like 64, Sunshine and Odessy. I finished Galaxy 1 because everyone was raving about it but I just didnt enjoy any of it. Was told Galaxy 2 is even better and bigger stages. Played it for a couple of hours and was like nah.
-The whole Wii console, controller and everything else about it.
-Not a fan of the New Super Mario Bros, Arms etc.
Capcom:
-Marvel vs Capcom 2: Capcoms fighting games went download after these in my opinion. They lost their touch with the character stages, music and the Dreamcast controller only had 6 buttons. I was a huge fan of the Marvel and Street Fighter series
-Resident Evil 6: Yeah too far away from the classic RE formula, RE4 did the same but it was good.
-Games like Dragons Dogma, Monster Hunter, Lost Planet, DMC4, Capcom really didnt do anything for me. Some were fine but that PS3/360 era was Capcom’s worst.
FromSoft:
-Dark Souls 2. Not necessary bad, but doesn't hold up to the rest of there games since Demons Souls. Otherwise its been a perfect streak from them
