So why isn't it on PS Plus yet? What exactly is Sony waiting for?

It is bizarre. It's stranger still that Xbox was giving away months of free Crunchyroll with gamepass, while Sony had no offers.

It just shows the lack of integration and communication inside Sony.

Sony has all these divisions, yet there is no unity amongst them. They might as well be seperate companies.

Well they need to do something to justify the now $80 a year for Essential. Adding Cruncyroll with ad for Essential would give some brownie points. And ad free Cruncyroll can be matched with Extra and Premium.

MS paid to have a time limited offer where the gave GPU users who still didn't get a free trieal of Crunchyroll premium before a couple months of Crunchyroll Premium trial on top of the 14 days trial that all -no gamesubs required- free Crunchyroll users from PS and Xbox can get.

And there's also free Crunchyroll with ads for all users in all platforms, no game subs required.

PS+ Premium will include 100+ rotating Sony Pictures Core movies, and Sony Pictures Core will include Crunchyroll content, so some of these rotating 100+ movies may be from Crunchyroll.

There was also that rumor of Crunchyroll premium coming to PS+.

As I remember there's already free Crunchyroll with ads to all PS users, no game sub required.

At least for me the discounts included in PS+ Essential more than justify $80/year. On top of that includes the online multiplayer, game saves and obviously the games.
