A journalist from Wired has given Hogwarts Legacy a score of 1/10 to deliberately thwart its success and hamper it's score on Metacritic/Opencritic.

It’s a clear hit piece by a hack “critic.”

They should take it down. It’s a fake review.

"The graphics feel like they're a couple of generations behind"

It says about a game that is highly praised for how good it looks.

Troll review.
It looks good, not GOW good but it's not an exclusive so that is expected but it does look good. As a matter of fact I'll still put it up there with GOW because it has so many details and dynamic things. You can walk through the school and see paintings moving, statues hitting eachother, etc it's a treat and has so much charm.

They put a trans with a problem with J.K. Rowling in charge of reviewing the game and they/them or whatever writes crap like this to justify a 1/10:

There’s a hole where this game’s heart should be. You can’t see it at first. You have to really feel around its edges, stop looking for what is there and start noticing what isn’t. There’s no sense of place. The world is lifeless. Character models and facial animations are present but somehow absent. The characters are animated, but they certainly don’t feel alive.

The story, besides being rooted in anti-Semitism (a global “cabal” is trying to end slavery but that's bad because the slaves like being slaves), doesn’t even feel compelling. It feels muddy, a minefield of unanswered questions and unexplained motivations. And speaking of which, the characters often flat-out state their motivations, but they don’t feel believable or even particularly coherent. It says it’s Hogwarts, but it doesn’t feel like Hogwarts. Even despite the controversy around Rowling herself, the game feels like it was put together to tap the eager nostalgia of fans without any attention to making it actually worth playing.

For that reason alone, I can't in good conscience recommend spending your money on it. Combined with who this game helps and who it harms, well, it's definitely not worth it unless your goal is to cause harm.
I can't wait for sales figures to be revealed and a sequel announced. One thing I noticed is that Wired isn't showing on Metacritic, is that because they're not included in it?

It’s holding a strong critic response and stronger player response. The steam numbers already are huge. I knew it was going to be huge. I now expect it to do Elden Ring numbers.

When a single player game does as well as big multiplayer launch on steam. Pretty much guarantees 15 million.

Reeee is going to be seething. Not only this faux boycott backfire … this game ended up being one for the history books.

I wasn't interested in this game, but I will buy 2 copies now.
F**k woke. They've been dragging all of our entertainment down a shit hole. How did they become this strong? Not even the illuminati can do that.
