I expect the 76 team to be working on it with collaboration from other studios.
Do not blame Austin for 76’s launch. That is a false narrative done as damage control at launch. That was BGS proper. Austin took over the live game and made it the game it exists as today. It was no small feat to “fix” Todd Howard’s mess.
Ideally it would be the 76 team using the latest version of an upgraded 76 engine with narrative and scenario work with an assist from Obsidian once avowed wraps up. It cannot be starfield’a latest engine I think. Too time consuming and upgrading 76 variant of the engine would be easier.

The only possible option is to hire a well-known third-party studio, give them a big budget, and NOT interfere with the development process that was planned from the very beginning (otherwise, the story with PlatinumGames will repeat itself).
Bethesda, as the experience of Starfield and the F4 update has shown, is now completely helpless, Todd and most of the staff should be fired, TES IV\V veterans should be brought back, and perhaps they should be merged with a more competent studio.

Jez doesn't really say anything except Xbox knows the demand for the next fallout. Another developer making a new fallout game isn't likely. The best Bethesda can do is split the workforce and make fallout 5 alongside of elder scrolls 6. But who knows if Bethesda can do that good.
Dont think they're anywhere near big enough, I guess MS would have to enforce more contractors.
If it is online only again - I will continue to not buy fallout games. I stopped the day of the 76 announcement.
This is why I don’t see BGS developing this. I think it’ll be BGS Austin with Obsidian jumping in as support. I think a collaboration effort like that could produce something good.
And that’s if they’re gonna kneecap longterm starfield support to get moving on elder scrolls. I would be suspect of the dev bandwidth available to Todd’s premiere studio.
