I thought that too but apparently GOW came out on a Wednesday so no chance to hit these numbers day 1. If you have the highest day 1 numbers you've ever seen, and higher than your previous record holder, you'd flaunt them.
I think it actually takes a while for them to get data in, I doubt they would have accurate Sunday data by Monday. Digital yes but not physical.

If Sony were smart they'd make Spiderman a yearly iteration like COD/FIFA. It's basically on that level of mainstream popularity with casuals. Create a Free to Play a Spiderman Online where you can swing around with friends and they'd have the biggest GAAS in the universe.
